Accessibility
Our commitment for Minutiva Private — Effective: May 13, 2026
Our commitment
Minutiva Private is built to be usable by everyone. We follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target for both the app and this site.
App accessibility features
- VoiceOver — all interactive elements have descriptive labels. Lists, buttons, and form controls are navigable with VoiceOver and other screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation — full-app keyboard control including dedicated shortcuts (⌘F to search, ⌘A in select mode to select all visible, ⌘. to toggle multi-select).
- Dynamic Type — text scales with your macOS system text size preference.
- Dark Mode — full Dark Mode support; matches your system appearance automatically.
- Reduced motion — respects the macOS “Reduce motion” setting; animations are minimized when enabled.
- Color contrast — text and UI elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Localization — the app and its UI strings are available in English and Spanish.
Website accessibility
- Semantic HTML5 throughout
- Skip-friendly heading hierarchy
- Mobile and desktop responsive layouts at 480, 768, 900, and 1024 px breakpoints
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- Alt text on all meaningful images
Known limitations
Transcription accuracy varies with speaker clarity, audio quality, and language. Speaker-by-speaker diarization (distinguishing “Speaker 1” vs “Speaker 2” within the system audio side) is on our roadmap but not yet shipped — for now, every segment from the other side is labeled simply as “Others”.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier in Minutiva Private or this site, please tell us — we’ll work to fix it.
