v0.6.0-beta45
The calendar feature has not worked since it arrived. This is why, and this is the fix.
Minutiva was never allowed to ask for your calendar
On macOS, asking for a permission takes two things: the sentence you see in the prompt, and a separate entitlement declaring that the app is allowed to ask at all. Minutiva shipped the first and not the second.
So the system refused every request before it could become a prompt. No dialog ever appeared. Minutiva never showed up in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars — not switched off, simply absent. And the permission stayed permanently undecided, which looks exactly like a setting you forgot to turn on, except there was nothing anywhere to turn on.
That has been true since the feature arrived in beta40 — including the two releases just spent fixing where the offer appeared, on a build that could never produce one. Everything those releases added works; none of it could run.
This release adds the entitlement. The first time you switch the calendar feature on, macOS will actually ask.
It cannot ship that way again
Every permission the app requests is now checked against what the app is entitled to request, before a build leaves the machine it was built on. A request macOS would silently refuse fails the release instead of reaching you.
A clearer message when access is missing
beta44 said macOS had already made up its mind about Minutiva and would not ask again. That was wrong — it had never been asked. The message now describes what happened and how to tell the two cases apart: if Minutiva is listed in Privacy & Security, switch it on; if it is not listed at all, that is a bug rather than something you can grant.
