Summaries now say who actually said it.

“Monique will send the costs”, not “Speaker 1 will send the costs”

If you named the voices in a meeting and then asked for a summary, the action items came back credited to “Speaker 1” and “Speaker 2”. The names were saved correctly — the summariser just wasn’t reading them.

It was reading the transcript as written at the moment the meeting was transcribed, which carries whatever labels existed then. Naming a voice afterwards updates everything you can see and nothing on disk. Summaries now resolve names the same way exports have since beta29.

Existing summaries don’t change on their own — they’re saved as they were generated. Hit Re-summarize on a meeting to pick up the names.

Macs that can’t run Apple Intelligence now say why

They were being pointed at “Settings → Providers”, a tab renamed two releases ago — so the one instruction an unsupported Mac received sent it somewhere that no longer exists.

Now the reason is specific: an Intel Mac is told its hardware can’t, and a Mac with Apple Intelligence turned off is told to turn it on. Only one of those is something you can do anything about, and they used to read identically.

For the record, the bar is lower than it sounds: any Apple silicon Mac on macOS 26 qualifies, including an M1 from 2021.
