Colour now means something. A person has one, everywhere, permanently.

Monique is always Monique’s colour

Until now a voice was coloured by whichever group it landed in, which sounds reasonable and quietly wasn’t: the same person came out a different colour in every meeting, and changed colour again any time the voices were re-analysed. Colour is useless as recognition if it moves.

It now comes from the person’s name. Whoever you’ve named looks the same in the transcript, in the speaker panel, in the library, and on a card you exported last month. Voices you haven’t named yet stay muted and a little colourless — they read as unfinished, which is what they are.

See who talked before you open anything

Each meeting in the library now carries a thin bar underneath showing how the talking was divided. A single wide band is one person presenting; four slices is a conversation. Grey is a voice nobody has named.

It’s the thing a list of titles can never tell you, and it’s drawn from what Minutiva already knew.

Minutiva’s own colour

The app had been borrowing Apple’s system purple, which is noticeably pinker than the violet on this site — so the app and the website looked like two products by the same people. It now uses the real one, and lifts it on dark backgrounds where that violet alone goes muddy.

On your iPhone too

All three arrive in Minutiva Go as well, so a person is the same colour on both your devices.
