v0.6.0-beta32
Reading a sentence is how you actually recognise someone. Now that recognition has somewhere to go.
Find the line, name the voice
There’s a search box above the transcript. Type something you remember hearing, and every line containing it comes back — each one playable, each one showing who it’s currently attributed to, each with a This is… button.
What that button does depends on where the line sits, which matters more than it sounds:
- If the voice is still called “Speaker 3”, it names the whole voice — one recognition settles every line that person spoke.
- If that person already has a voice in the meeting, only that line moves to them.
- If the voice already belongs to somebody else, the line is pulled out on its own, leaving their other sentences alone.
Tick several results and reassign them in one go — a voice that swallowed someone usually swallowed them more than once.
Two search boxes, two meanings
Typing “Monique” in the library list finds meetings she spoke in. Typing it above the transcript finds lines where somebody said the word. Both are useful and they aren’t the same thing, so the transcript search now offers a chip to switch between them rather than quietly picking one.
Your year, as a picture
People → Your year. Your library drawn as stripes, as a bloom, or both: one mark per conversation, sized by length, coloured by whoever did most of the talking. Alongside it, the numbers — your share of the talking, how many voices you’ve named, your longest conversation.
Save it or copy it. It’s drawn on your Mac, names are off by default, and no meeting title or transcript text is ever included — the picture can’t be read back into your meetings, which is what makes it safe to post.
Meetings can go to your iPhone
Sending a meeting is no longer Mac-to-Mac. With Minutiva Go 0.9.0 on your phone, the same meetings arrive there too, through your own iCloud account. The recording still never leaves the device that made it — only the transcript, summary and speaker names travel.
Faster between meetings
Clicking from one meeting to another used to pause. Opening a meeting prepared both audio streams before doing anything else — about a third of a second of frozen window on a long recording — and the transcript editor wrote the entire file back to disk every time it merely re-read it. Both fixed.
