v0.6.0-beta22
The people in your meetings are finally editable — properly, and everywhere at once.
Rename someone once and it sticks everywhere
Correcting a name used to reach only as far as the meeting you were looking at. Every other meeting that voice appeared in kept the old spelling, and there was no way to tell which ones were wrong.
A name now belongs to the person, not to the meeting. Rename them from a meeting’s speaker panel or from People, and it follows that voice through every meeting they’re in — transcripts included. Before you commit, the rename sheet tells you how many meetings it’s about to touch.
Two entries for one person can be merged
Typing a corrected spelling used to leave a second person behind, with nothing able to remove the first — and two people sharing one name are impossible to tell apart when the app suggests one of them.
Renaming someone to a name that already exists now offers to combine the two instead. Their meetings, voice samples and notes are all kept. There’s also an explicit Merge into… in the same menu, and Forget… for an entry you don’t want remembered — forgetting stops that voice being recognised in future meetings and leaves every name already written in your transcripts exactly as it is.
“That’s actually someone else”
If you type a name that already belongs to somebody in your address book, Minutiva reads it the way you meant it: this voice is them. It links the two, rather than renaming the person the voice used to belong to.
A person’s meeting list repairs itself
The list of meetings on a person’s page could fall out of date — it was a separate record from the voices themselves, and re-analysing a meeting could leave it behind. Opening People now rebuilds it from the voices, so the count matches what’s really there. Meetings that live on your other Mac are counted separately instead of silently, and the list is sorted newest first.
