v0.6.0-beta21
One fix to sharing that anyone using it has been hitting, and a new way to find old audio you no longer need.
Changes to a shared meeting reach your other Mac
Sending a meeting worked the first time and then quietly stopped. Rename it, correct the transcript or re-summarise it after that first send, and none of it arrived — the other Mac kept showing the version it got originally, while this one reported only Couldn’t send and tried again on every launch.
Each send was being filed as a brand-new meeting rather than as a change to the one already there, so everything after the first was refused. Sends are now recognised as updates to what iCloud already holds.
Nothing to redo. Meetings you shared from an earlier build repair themselves on the next sync, and your edits go up with them.
Storage can point out audio you’ve stopped needing
Recordings are about 99% of what the library takes up on disk, and the oldest of them are usually the ones you’ll never open again. Settings → Storage now notices when audio has aged past a year and tells you how much space it’s holding. Review… ticks those meetings in the list so you can look at what they are before deciding.
It only ever suggests. Nothing is deleted without you reading it and confirming, exactly as when you delete a recording by hand, and the transcript and summary always stay — only the audio goes. Meetings you’ve pinned are never suggested, and neither are ones without a transcript, where the recording is the only record left of what was said.
A year is the default; 90 days, 6 months and 2 years are also available, and the whole thing can be switched off.
Also
The Sharing settings printed a stray — in one line of its description. It reads as a dash now, as intended.
