v0.6.0-beta20
Three fixes from real use, two of them things you could see in every dual-stream transcript.
Transcripts read in the right order
Your microphone and the meeting’s audio are transcribed separately, and each finished chunk was being appended as it completed rather than placed by its timestamp. Each side was in order on its own; together they weren’t. You’d see a reply printed above the question that prompted it.
Both sides are now merged by the clock. Existing transcripts fix themselves the next time they’re regenerated — rename a speaker, or use Reset to original in the transcript editor.
Renaming a speaker actually sticks
If two voices had been merged into one, some lines kept showing Others no matter how many times you renamed the speaker — because those lines still pointed at the voice that had been merged away, and the new name landed somewhere they weren’t looking.
Names are now resolved from the speaker’s own list of lines, which stays correct through a merge. Rename once and every line follows.
Your speaker names can travel
New in Settings → Sharing: Also share my speaker names. A voice you named on one Mac is recognised on the other.
It sends names, dates and a small voice fingerprint. Never the voice recordings those came from — those stay on the Mac that made them, like everything else. Off by default; it’s a separate decision from sharing meetings.
