v0.6.0-beta14

Released 2026-08-27 · Download .dmg (34 MB)

Speaker recognition moves into the recording itself: you can now see who Minutiva is hearing while the meeting is still going, instead of waiting until you stop.

See who’s in the meeting while you record

A row above the live transcript now shows the voices heard so far — In this meeting: You · Marisa? · Speaker B — and updates as the conversation goes on. Voices that match someone in your People address book are named; the rest get a letter until you sort them out after the meeting.

Names carry a ? on purpose. Mid-meeting there is less audio to go on than there is once you stop, so a name here is Minutiva’s best guess rather than a settled answer, and it holds itself to a stricter bar before showing one at all. A missing name is easy to live with; a confidently wrong one is not.

It’s deliberately a roster rather than a name on every line. Voice groupings are recalculated as the meeting runs, so a name pinned to a particular line could visibly jump to a different person partway through — which reads as the app being wrong about someone. A roster can rearrange itself quietly and stay honest.

This needs a beta license key, same as the rest of the speaker features. Everything still runs on your Mac.

The library no longer lists recordings you deleted

We tell you your meetings are yours: browse them in Finder, back them up, delete the ones you don’t want. Doing exactly that left the deleted meeting sitting in the sidebar anyway — on every launch, forever — and clicking it opened an empty detail pane. The app was showing a stale cache, but it read as though it had lost your recordings.

The library now checks that a meeting’s files are actually still there before listing it, and forgets the ones that aren’t.
