A big dogfooding round: a couple of new options, cleaner speaker handling, and the echo fix is finally switched on.
Name a meeting before it’s saved
Stop a recording without typing a title and Minutiva now asks you to name it — or discard it — instead of silently saving it as “Meeting <date>.” Press Return to save, Escape to keep recording. You can turn this off in Settings → Transcription → Behavior.
Translate to English (optional)
A new Translate to English toggle in Settings. Off by default, so your transcript keeps the language people actually spoke. Turn it on and non-English speech is translated to English as it’s transcribed — transcript and summary both come out in English.
No more double-transcribed echoes
When you record on your Mac’s built-in speaker (not headphones), the mic re-hears the other participants, so their lines used to appear twice — once correctly and once as “You.” Those echo duplicates are now removed automatically, live and in the saved transcript. On headphones nothing changes, so your genuine lines are always kept.
Better speaker samples & a tidier panel
- Playing a speaker’s voice sample now picks a segment where they’re actually talking, instead of occasionally landing on a stretch of silence.
- Tiny stray “speakers” the model splits off from a half-second of audio are hidden from the Other-voices panel.
- A new Analyzing speakers… note appears while voice separation runs in the background, so the panel no longer just shows up a minute later with no explanation.
Also
- The window can be made narrower again when the Other-voices panel isn’t showing.
- Live transcription continues to honor the language you picked (from beta12).
